Xavier coach Sean Miller suggested Tuesday that Dedrick Finn's suspension could be lifted before the beginning of Xavier's regular season.
"Dedrick and I have talked, and he knows what is expected of him," Miller said in a statement. "We both hope he will rejoin us sooner rather than later. The end of October or early November is our target time."
Finn was suspended indefinitely for off-court behavior detrimental to the team. He will not accompany the team as it leaves today for a five-day trip to the Bahamas, where Xavier will play two preseason exhibition games. The Musketeers' first regular-season game is Nov. 19 against Oakland.
XU-'Canes will air on Fox Sports Net
Fox Sports Net Ohio added a game to its Xavier package Tuesday and will carry the Nov. 27 contest between Xavier and Miami (Fla.). The decision means that at least 21 Xavier games will be locally televised. The 7:30 p.m. game originally was not going to be available to local cable subscribers.
